Dr. Adrienne Schupbach

MD

Dr. Adrienne Schupbach is a double Board-Certified Dermatologist and Mohs Micrographic Surgeon specializing in medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology. Her professional areas of interest include skin cancer detection and treatment, psoriasis therapies, skin care, acne and rosacea treatment, eczema and contact dermatitis. Dr. Schupbach has extensive experience in skin cancer detection and treatment, particularly in surgical therapies such as Mohs Micrographic Surgery.

Dr. Schupbach graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. She completed her medical school education at the University of Illinois at Chicago, where she graduated at the top of her class. During medical school, Dr. Schupbach received several awards for academic performance, including the McGraw Hill Appleton-Lange Award, and was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. Following medical school, she completed her internship in internal medicine at the University of Connecticut. Dr. Schupbach then returned to the University of Illinois at Chicago to complete her residency in dermatology. She has published multiple articles in medical journals and is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology.

Outside of her professional life, Dr. Schupbach enjoys spending time with her family. She and her husband have four wonderful young children. Her hobbies include traveling and enjoying the outdoors together with her family, engaging in activities such as hiking, camping, boating, fishing, and skiing.

Dr. Douglas Leone

MD

Dr. Douglas Leone is doubly board certified in both Dermatology and Mohs Micrographic Surgery. He specializes in all aspects of skin care, with a focus on detecting and treating of malignant and pre- malignant skin conditions. He has treated over forty thousand skin cancers and is committed to providing quality, individualized, and up to date healthcare to his patients. Dr. Leone specifically specializes in Mohs Micrographic Surgery. This surgery is the most advanced treatment for skin cancer as it provides the highest cure rates and leaves the smallest scars. He is also professionally trained and experienced in performing additional skin surgeries and cosmetic procedures.

Dr. Leone graduated Summa Cum Laude at the University of Illinois at Urbana- Champaign, and completed his medical degree at University of Illinois at Chicago in May 2006. While attending medical school, Dr. Leone achieved multiple honors and awards, including: McGraw Hill Appleton-Lange Award given for Academic Excellence in medical school and the Senior Legacy Endowed Award for the highest overall academic performance ranking #1 in his medical school class. He was also elected by his peers to serve as class president. He completed his residency in dermatology at the University of Connecticut where he was chosen by staff to be chief resident. When he is not working, he enjoys spending time with his wife and four children, along with a variety of outdoor activities including fishing, camping, hiking, skiing, and scuba diving.

Dr. JoAnne LaRow

DO

Dr. JoAnne LaRow received her medical degree from New York College of Osteopathic Medicine. Upon graduating she completed a four-year residency in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics at Albany Medical Center, NY. After residency, she worked as a board-certified pediatrician and internist. Realizing her penchant for dermatology, she went on to complete a dermatology residency at Northeast Regional Medical Center in Kirksville, MO, as well as receive a Mohs certification through the American Society for Mohs Surgery. She worked as a solo practitioner in Plattsburgh, NY where her practice included pediatric dermatology, general dermatology, and skin cancer detection and treatment. She was the only Mohs Micrographic surgeon in that area. She and her family moved to IL in 2018. Dr. LaRow is a mother of six. She and her husband, Ed Jr. have been married for over 30 years. Some of her hobbies include reading, playing piano and cello, and running. She especially enjoys spending time with her family.

Hannah Atkins

PA-C

Hannah Atkins grew up in Pensacola, Fl, graduating from the University of West Florida in Exercise Science. She then went to Physician Assistant school at the University of Southern Alabama, in Mobile, Al. She graduated in 2021 in the top 10% of her class. Hannah has been in Urgent Care and Pain Medicine before starting her passionate career in Dermatology with Dermatology and Skin Cancer Center.

Hannah was personally trained by Dr. Schupbach and Dr. Leone, with a special interest in common skin conditions like Eczema, Psoriasis, and Acne. She is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and Society of Dermatology Physician Associates. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, camping, skiing and traveling with her husband and two pugs.

Ryan Marlett

PA-C

Ryan Marlett is a board-certified Physician Assistant with experience in medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology. His professional interests are in diagnosis and treatment of skin cancer, contact dermatitis, psoriasis, rosacea, and acne.

Ryan graduated Magna Cum Laude at Illinois State University of Normal, IL. During this time, he spent several years gaining experience while working in medical and surgical dermatology, as well as volunteering in OSF St Joseph’s surgical center. He went on to get his Master’s degree in Medical Science from Dominican University’s Physician Assistant Program in River Forest, IL. During this time, he did clerkships in several areas of medicine including dermatology and Mohs surgery. Ryan has earned status as a Diplomate Fellow of the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants after his completion of their Diplomate Fellowship. He is also an active member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants. In his free time, Ryan enjoys spending time with his family, fishing, and hiking.
